Barangay Pasobolong used to be a sitio of Barangay Salaan. It was when the late Mauro Panteleon Manalo Sr turned the sitio into an independent barangay in 1993 and the place was called Pasobolong from then on through the Ordinance No. 91-09, by Hon. Asbi N. Edding, Chairperson of the committee on ordinance and resolutions.

The late Mauro Panteleon Manalo Sr. then became the first ever barangay chairman of Pasobolong.
